A1 and Blinking: Secure prepaid number registration in just a few clicks
We are delighted to announce the beginning of our collaboration with A1 Serbia, a member of the A1 Telekom Austria Group, a leader in digital services and communication solutions in the Southeast European region. That’s why it was easy for us to efficiently implement our joint innovative project – online registration of prepaid users.
As required by legal regulations, all mobile network operators must register all prepaid service users, including those who started using the service before the new rules took effect. As of February 10, 2025, new prepaid numbers will not be usable without prior registration. Regarding existing prepaid users, they will be required to complete their registration no later than April 10, 2025, to continue using the services without interruption.
This change has brought significant challenges for mobile operators, including registering a large number of users within a relatively short timeframe, introducing new procedures, and placing additional burdens on employees at retail locations.
Recognizing the complexity of the situation, A1 Serbia identified the need for a reliable partner to help address these challenges. With Blinking’s solution, users can register their number in under a minute via the A1 Serbia website, without visiting a physical store. The process is quick and straightforward—the user enters their phone number, photographs their ID document, and takes a selfie to verify their identity. The entire process is powered by artificial intelligence, ensuring full compliance with privacy regulations and the highest data protection standards. Everything is designed to be as convenient as possible, allowing users to quickly complete registration and continue using their mobile operator’s services without interruptions.
